ABOUT ME

As a passionate and certified Mental Health Counselor, my experience allows me to understand the best ways to address each client’s needs in an effective manner. I am flexible in my approach and use collaboration as the basis of my therapy—ensuring a comfortable, safe environment where we can work together on your goals. Sometimes it is hard to take that first step in asking for help.  I offer a safe, empathic space and judgment free zone where my clients can begin to process and take back control of their lives.  I believe in empowerment.  Together, we can work toward positive change and personal growth.  I am a licensed therapist and obtained my master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. I currently work with adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I have experience working with a variety of mental health needs. Some of my areas of specialties include, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and low self-esteem.  My goal is to help empower my clients to take charge of their mental health by finding balance and peace.  I employ a client-centered approach, where I collaborate with my client to create therapeutic process tailored to their unique needs.  I have a diverse toolkit or therapeutic modalities to help tailor the needs of my clients.  I use cognitive behavioral therapy, a well-established method known for its effectiveness in addressing thought patterns that lead to negative emotional and behavioral patterns.  I use mindfulness therapy to help my client focus on being more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  I use solution focused therapy to encourage change by focusing on what you can do versus what you cannot do.  These are just a few modalities used within my practice.  I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey to emotional well-being and a more fulfilling life.
